is there any update on this? when you take them off is there a gap between the wheel and the tire?

i am going to take the plunge and order from rimstyle very soon 

What colour of Golf do you have? Will you be going for the 19x8s, ET50?

i have cw gti, i will be going for the 18s with Michelin pilot sport tyres

the main thing i am worried about is the gap/channel looking awkward because i plan to take off the lip permanently

I don't think you can get them in black without the rim. You can get them in silver with no rim though.

shame. with the alloy being nice and glossy, to keep that looking smart, ensure the tyre is dressed at all times. well, thats my opinion anyway.

The wheels are actually a matt black finish. Has the great VWKev made a mistake?!?!
