Interesting you call in fat and weight as.
Unladen Weight
GTD Manual = 1404kg
GTD DSG = 1426kg
GTI Manual = 1393kg
GTI DSG = 1414kg

Taken from VWs website.
So a manual GTD is lighter than a GTI DSG.

Between manuals the GTD is 11kg heavier
Between DSGs the GTD is 12kg heavier

You could have a good poop and nearly loose that, GTD owners need to start loosing weight to become FASTER.

A Golf GTI is a car that you are never ashamed to own.  Bought with the heart and never regretted.
A diesel Golf GT is bought after tapping away at a calculator all night.  And hated every time it's stuck chugging and rattling in a traffic jam.

Now as much as old Egbert clearly has some mental health issues, he is kind of right.

Dont get me wrong, Im not saying the GTD is a bad car, FAR FAR from it.

I also think its a cracking idea to remap it as it turns into a serious tool of a car. But I still see where Kev is coming from, if you want to remap it, should really have got a GTI . . . . ?  I dunno :undecided:

Equally though if you wanted a 250bhp+ from your GTI why didn't you lot buy a faster car in the first place too

Never ending circle really

There's nothing as satisfying as a good fiddle providing a fair degree of mental masturbation.

But my point was, that the difference between GTD and GTI and the revo remap is basically the price. Ok, yeah to remap the car is good, but the price difference is almost the same, why not just start off with the GTI ?

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.
