I just like an argument before a big meeting.

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

You are aware the GTD requires more torques to move the thing ? to base your buy on torque on a diesel is even funnier than revo'ing a GTD. Without the torque you have on there, the heavy fatherless son wouldnt move.

What does a GTI weigh compared with the GTD, Manual vs Manual obv..

I think the GTD weighs a tonne of bricks and the GTI a tonne of feathers.

I can understand why people would buy a gtd and then revo it because it gives it the perfect combination as fast a a gti with gti styling but with 50+ mpg. A standard gtd of course wouldnt be as fast as a standard gti but having had plenty of chances to drive both I would say the revo gtd is quicker than a standard gti as have pulled away from our demo gti many a time.

Lets end it here all he want to do is make he gtd a little faster so he can keep up with fatherless sons (kev) in gti's : )

I've discovered where your big meeting is.....at the VW dealers to discuss swaping to a GTD.
Some might think I josh but I have it on very good authority that this is true.

So, the truth finally comes out.......Kev loves GTD's........good boy, I knew you would be turned eventually.
GTD White 5dr, ACC, Sunroof, winter pack, in transit.......

Never heard anything so comical in all my days, a remapped GTD, f**k sake for the price difference from a GTD to a GTI, why didnt you just buy a GTI ?
probably something to do with economy.. oh yes and of course being quicker* :lipsrsealed:

* lights the torch paper and stands back  :lipsrsealed:

I see this torch paper and I'm drawn to the light.

A revo'd GTD is 208bhp, a standard GTI is 210bhp

More torque on the GTD yeah, but it needs it, its a frickin tank.

Where is this faster bit you speak of ?

yes... looking for a torch does funny things to you

I don't mean to offend anyone with this but the GTD is a perfect everyday car. Evo1986 is spot on with his comments.

I swapped from a 320d and had the choice of a GTD/GTI/Focus RS/C30 but went for the GTD.

AlanD, you are in love with VWKev???
