GTD and Revo

Does anyone have a GTD that has been Revo'd?

I am interested in knowing the differences that the tuning provides.

Have had mine revo'd after 1000 miles not had it on ramp since been done but makes as perfectly good car into a superb one. Over taking is a dream.........

Never heard anything so comical in all my days, a remapped GTD, f**k sake for the price difference from a GTD to a GTI, why didnt you just buy a GTI ?  :grin:

Mk6 GTi - returned to leasing company after 3 great years and replaced with :

Mk5 GTi - Edition 30 - Revo 1 and some tweaks - 310 bhp. Its a better car than the Mk6  - Now sold and replaced with :

Mk6 R - Rising Blue 5 Door. Won't be standard 270bhp for long

Family Car : Mercedes ML420 with 360 bhp
Looking at Porsche Macan as replacement

A revo'd GTD is 208bhp, a standard GTI is 210bhp

More torque on the GTD yeah, but it needs it, its a frickin tank.

Where is this faster bit you speak of ?

I bought a GTD because I wanted a GTD. If I had wanted a GTI, I would have ordered a GTI.

I like diesel cars - is that so bad?

Why is it comical for people to buy a GTD and get it remapped? If someone buys a GTI and gets it remapped they aren't slagged?!

On paper, the GTI is quicker but from my experience, the GTD is every bit as fast in the real world.

Few different reasons why people buy diesels.

For me insurance per year is miles cheaper. Tax is cheaper and the fuel is better as i live far away.

Just a few reasons.
