music cutting out
« on: 30 June 2010, 13:12 »
guys, when i turn up my system (pioneer h/u, vibe amped 12" system )  to only 20 out of 50 it starts cutting out and is embarrasing  :embarassed:. i have used extra negatives to make sure it is earthed properly. my question is, what can i do to stop this happening?

can i use a larger amp battery or do i need to change the alternator for a more powerful one?  :undecided:

does sound like an earth problem to me, where have you got it earthed? is it possible that if your turning up the volume the vibrations for the sub are disturbing the earthing point and causing your amp to cut out?

i have it earthed at 3 places in the boot.
i have managed to buy some 0awg gauge wire, should i change the current 8awg gauge wire for this one?
