On the subject of a manual...can you order one from VW?
I'd ideally like a proper one to go in the Handbook folder.
I presume you mean the handbook not the workshop manual? You can't get workshop manuals.

the voice recognition is the button on the mfsw that allows you to command the RNS510 to do stuff... its probably the only voice recognition thing that I have used that works virtually all the time. Although you do have to be a proper lazy b*stard to use it

A bustard, sometimes, lazy no. But I'm working on it!
Seriously, I'm learning all the time. It's a real toy and great fun.
My neighbours think 'I am not quite right' since I got the RNS yesterday.

Hello every one,  It was really nice meeting you Asker thank you for your hospitality and generosity  paypal is friendly

Firstly I have to apologize has my netbook battery went so didn't get chance to tick the parking aid setting for your optical sensors Asker.

If SteveP doesn't have a look before me then I will do it next time I'm down there in a few weeks.

What do you think of this

I know what you mean about seeing it in person Asker but I was very surprised myself how good it matched after I did it

I will take the front off mine and build this one back up so I can swap yours straight over when I'm down there.

Darren

Apologies to all if I got a bit carried away in my excitement and for any rudeness. I had such a problem getting the knob fitted, so when it was done, I was over the moon. You can understand that even those minor criticisms were not what I was expecting. So I let fly! Such passion! It is quite superb to the touch and to the eye.

But is it WORTH £180? No. :lipsrsealed:
Or,
But is it WORTH £180? Yes, because I paid up!   +

That's fine fella. None of us here should detract you from doing what you want to your car. It is after all your car and you can do what you want with it.
