Mmm, get your revo dealer to check i out Gilly, even though i've had my map for a year and clocked up nearly 17K, the GTI still impresses, even without dropping a gear in top it pulls like a train.

I know what you mean to an extent though, once you are used to the speed you want more but imagine your GTI was stock again, that should cheer you up!!

i've been driving mine for a while now - it's just stock, and to be honest i don't imagine i'll ever want to mod it. at first i thought the speed was just out of this world, but i must admit i'm getting used to the speed and no longer 'surprised' by the surge in power available compared to my old car. and the brakes too. i always try to brake early when slowing down for something, but i imagine if i had to do a proper emergency stop, it would just stop dead, and any sucker behind me would have no time to react and have crappy brakes and just ram my back end.

This is why i own more than one car, you get use to what ever your driving, it no longer feels fast'ish and your driving style changes for the worse. Its why i have more than one car that way i can drop back into the lower power one for a few days or a week get use to that one and learn to drive properly again! then when i get back in the GTI it feels quick again. Its much cheaper than having to upgrade every year or so like many others do.

well, you can just imagine the power loss on mine.. it reached 49degrees C last week FFS!!!

i can really notice the difference and it shows on the fuel consumption figures. in the morning when it's a bit cooler, i can still get 12-13 km/l average however, when i drive home in the evening when temperatures are as high as 42 deg, i can only get 11 km/l..
