You didn't fill up with 95 recently, did you? I did a few months ago just to see what happened and there was a noticeable drop in power (felt like about 30 or 40 hp)

Nope. Always 99... although I am not sure if my map reflects this change in fuel. Quite sure I told the gent at the dealership I was running on 95 prior to having it remapped. I think he told me me to pop back and change it should I require. :undecided:

Hot weather can effect turbo cars due to the air temps. My Derv Polo feels down on power when it's hot, especially when suffering from heat soak after sitting in traffic. I got up really early for work the other day and it was a cool morning, the car felt quite a bit quicker.

It was about 6.30 this morning when mr kn0b jockey in his evo8 wanted to tailgate me, then wave as he drove past that it really seemed to be slow :lipsrsealed:

Although the car is asking for a service... I imagine that could be a big factor

I think you just got use to it!
I feel exactly the same after a few months everytime I trade-up to a faster car.
This is why there is a huge market for the tuning industries for speed junkies like us!

You can easily get bore with straightline speed, this is why I tend to buy car that is fun to drive even at low speed (Steering feel, crisp gearchange and sharp turn-in etc..)

Agree with that to a certain point... as I also need my car to be practical.

Only thing is the R32 never at any point felt slow... the GTI is suddenly feeling well down on power. I think it could just be down to needing a service, i certainly hope so.
