Front door speakers for mk4 Golf

Recommendations please.

budget?

out of the brands i've had and tried, i liked dls, tse pioneers, infinity.

are they gonna be amped, and it'll make a big difference if they are.

not had alpine type r's or x but heard both and are real nice. i know a chap with a set of type x gear he wants shot of pm me, and i'll pass on the details

i got some JBL ones that sounds pretty good
think they were 30-40

nice clean clear sound throughout range

They look nice, I'd be really interested to hear them.  I know Rhys got some Pioneer speakers for his mk4 which he hates.

Have you thought about going into *shudders* Halford's to listen to some?  Sound is pretty subjective.

When did I say i hated mine??    I said I was looking for something with a bit more punch and clarity.......
