EGR removal **Now with pics** :)
« on: 20 June 2010, 15:38 »
I'm in the process of removing my egr and putting in the delete kit. The only problem at the moment is that I can't get to the 2 bolts holding it to the manifold. How is the best way to get to these? Also can I drive my car with my egr like this as I might need to get it somewhere to get to these bolts?

un-clip/un-bolt everything of the old egr, remove this from the inlet manifold and leave the flexi-metal pipe from the turbo/manifold! then get a small spanner on the two bolts that come from the turbo/manifold best trying from the air box side removing the plastic tubing that goes to your turbo intake pipe, once get that metal flexi pipe off put the wee gasket and cover plate on! also wd-40 them before you do it and i got more purchase from that side off the bay mate! they are quite stiff so do try hard mate.

Does the EGR just pull out of the flexi metal pipe? I tried pulling it but it didn't seem to budge.
