Wheel offset help
« on: 13 June 2010, 10:10 »
I've been offered a set of genuine RC's however they have been professionally altered to fit a subaru. My mate reckons they are now ET 43. Is that still ok for a mk4? He also reckons if I add some 5mm spacers to them that will bring the ET back down to the mk4 factory standard. Would that be correct?

So they have had 5mm milled off the inside? Yes adding 5mm spacers would bring it back to ET38. Better yet add some 15mm spacers for the front and 25mm for the back

You'd have to make sure the milling has been done properly though...

They may also have changed the center bore size.

Edit just checked Subaru is 56.1, Golf is 57.1 so might not be a problem.

He said they are still 57.1 center bore but I will check before I decide on them. Cheers for the help. :afro:
