Toying with the idea of new speakers
« on: 05 June 2010, 11:54 »
After i get married in September, I may have a bit of cash left over and am thinking about a new Head Unit and some half decent speakers. I don't know a lot about car stereo equipment so firstly need to know how much am I likely to notice the difference?

I am not interested in a sub, just a decent set of speakers to replace the standard VW items. Car is a Bora TDi Highline and everything is completely standard at the moment, including the double din head unit. It's got a tape player!!!

What sort of prices would I be looking at? Don't have a budget at the mo - just need to mull it over in my head...

Keeping schtum. Mostly.

You will notice the difference with a change of headunit and speakers. Having a budget will help.  Have you thought about a double din replacement?

Why not get all the standard speakers wired into an amp? my mate did this in his bora (done proffesionally though) and the outcome was superb. On an alpine headunit too.
