The speaker / i key already acts as the voice control and pushing the right knob already gives the last command so I guess the only difference is the brightness of the screen?

Although more responsive would be good.

No - you need to fit an external handsfree module.

I am interested if you can guarantee they are plug & play. I have the RCD510 at the moment (no shark fin on roof): is it just a case of out with the old and in with the new, or are there extra accessories, harnesses to buy and/or software to reprogram?

Fro you will need a little bit of coding but depending where you are we can get someone to code it up for you I will be on scotland at the end of the month and then London some time soon.

So where ever you are I'm sure I can sort it.
