He is keen to do some head work to my other engine. Depending on the type of head (he'd lost me a little here) we are either going to skim it or fit high compression pistons.

He also mentioned bike carbs. He says it's fairly easy power. He knows how to set them up and says the job could be done for 200 quid realistically.

I'm tempted but can't help but think about fuel economy. At least injection can be efficient when you are not booting it.

1) no point in raising compression will lead to pinking problems, porting and polishing will be fine.
2) Bike carbs are not worth it, injection is the better bet.

A light skim will be ok but much more and you will get issues.

Not sure. Depends on my ginger friend really. Hopefully not too long. Can't afford a cam at the minute though anyway.

I will probably do that. I.ll also let you have a drive of my car sometime- think you'll be suprised how it handles on shocks and springs.

What do i need to be looking out for in a cam, spec wise? I don't want anything too lairy. Car's not exactly a daily  but i still need it to be driveable.
