Brake Calipers / Wheel Hub Cleanup
« on: 11 May 2010, 08:53 »
Time to make the little things stand out, my calipers were looking dull and faded, and the hub rust was showing.

1/3 of a tin of red caliper paint (£10 from halfrauds), some hamerite smooth silver (£6.50) and a few hours later.

Granted I could of done a better job by taking the calipers off, but I think I succeeded in making it look better.

Nice Job! I did this with my old discs last summer - used the brush-on silver hammerite.

Had new discs fitted front and rear about 2 months ago and already the hubs are rusting, so will be painting them soon. Have gone for high-temp silver spray paint this time for a better finish.

Time well spent imo, makes the wheel/calipers/hubs look much better.

Thanks lads!

I was on the car 8 hours sunday  :embarassed:

Washed, polished, waxed, caliper / hub painted, sealed / waxed wheels, windows.

Well happy, gave myself a 9/10 as I forgot to clean the exhaust!

Done mine a couple of weeks ago.
After paint was dry i applied two coats of jetseal to the calipers then waxed them with cg xx
Nothing sticks now, just rinse the muck off! Nice shine too!
