The GTD is like a blow up doll. The GTI is like a proper woman. Sure the doll might last longer, and the woman might have higher running costs, but which would you rather have?

Halfrauds red caliper paint - http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_175090_langId_-1_categoryId_165495

Hammerite smooth silver - http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_158822_langId_-1_categoryId_165495

I've heard a few rumours of a shortage on hammerite at the moment, halfrauds didnt have much, and local B and Q only had 2 tins of smooth silver left, nothing else!!

I ask again, did any of you leave the wheels on when you did this?

No, wheels off one at a time, just use the jack in the boot.

Didnt go to the extent of taking the calipers off though, just careful ish painting them.

Try Europarts. It's about £30 per axle
