Fuel Pipe!!! HELP PLEASE!!

Yeah mate, not too bad, been VERY busy reciently with work!!!!  Been up to Scotland and Cardiff for the past 4 weeks and B4 that was in London for TOO long!!!  Yeah got ya jacket mate, in my wardrobe like!!  Nice and clean still    How ya been mate???  Bit crappy news about that fuel pipe a, think I know what I'm doing now, got a Rad off Ebay for 14.99 too, just waiting for it to come through

Did you have a problem with the gearbox leaking oil or was it ok in the end?

I've been very busy too, holding down 2 full time jobs at the moment so no time to myself

Still helps to pay for Christmas and car mods

i may have the wrong end of the stick here but would it be possible to retro fit a fuel line from either an 8 or 16v mark2?

Good question. I have broken two mk2's now and I have deliberately kept all the plastic fuel lines with that in mind. Its a question I will answer as and when I come against the same problem with my cabrio.

cos surely they will be long enough! i was just thinking aloud

I'm sure someone has mentioned on here before that there is a problem in using the mk2 fuel pipes. It may be that they aren't long enough as the mk1 metering unit is on the n/s of the engine bay so the the pipes have further to go

doesnt matter dont start anyway and when i did finally manage to start it, man i sounded rough. like it had rust in the cylinders
