yeah they were new not long ago mate. It looks like it's the design of the TT arms/ball joints as they have longer studs and were never meant to be fitted with the 288mm splash guards.

I'll try and get a pic of how close they are

Been out today fitting the splash guards, I really hate roadside engineering  :undecided:

Anyways here is the evidence of the ball joint studs touching on the 288mm guards

you can see the witness marks either side of the cut outs, not massive but I can't tell you how annoying it was

and the 312mm guards fitted

Took it out for a quick blast giving it full lock in both directions with no noise or rattling so a complete success

Next up is painting the WMI nozzle equipped inlet in stain black and getting it fitted. I've got myself a plug to fit in the nozzle hole so I can run it without having to fit the whole kit first. Hopefully I can get some time on my mates ramps next weekend and run the pipework under the car

We're out there today, gay boy and probably some of tomorrow.  You could have had it on the ramps to sort the splash guards if you'd asked.

You plank.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

it was a quick decision to go out there otherwise I would have asked. Still got my place booked for the rear beam though?

On a side note, these are the immo3 clocks I won

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180881487308?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Also bought these for the rings and needles

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130705193013?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

so just a set of foils to go and I have a full set of DIY Bora sport clusters with MTE and lit needles

Also won a wiper stalk with MFA controls, just need some wire from either the scrapyard or get some new from the dealers to wire up the outside temp sensor

The meth injection is in

Not had a chance to test it yet but I'm sure I can do that on the way to Inters tomorrow

Some pics of the fitting

Decided to spray the inlet manifold and throttle housing matt black as opposed to satin this time

Pump and level sensor wires routed under the carpet from the controller

The feed pipe from the tank routed with the fuel pipes

The pump living its new home

Tank mounted on the back of the rear seats

I've rigged up a rocker switch so the pump can be isolated if needs be. All feeds are also fused with a 20amp blade fuse

The controller is alive...

Inlet manifold fitted

And the nozzle installed

Just got to fill the tank up this evening and prime the pipes. I'll also be getting a level sensor to install in the tank at some point.

Another little thingI've been working on is fitting a boost gaue to my Bora vent and this is the result

Not too bad if I do say so myself

I've also bought these PSI Tuning poly top mounts which will be fitted soon

I'll report back with how the meth injection performs after Inters
