Neil: Did your insurance premium go up when you informed them?

I am with Zurich. They did not even ask me if I had any mods on the car!
I will give them a call Tues. If they don't agree or increase the premium unnecessarily, I'll have to threaten them with cancellation (I know it won't work).
I do want to re-map, but only after 2000 miles.

Not had mine measured yet so 275 may not be accurate. What fuel was yours measured with??

Insurance companies are all different, some do mods, some don't and some don't care.
A few return trips to Nottingham should sort out your mileage deficiency.

I might drop this down to 1500 miles but not via Nottingham!
I was also thinking of installing a mechanical limited slip differential later on.
It is £603.75 + VAT for a 6 speed manual.

Is that result not the OPPOSITE of "conservative" and may be called optimistic (= false info)

I think 45 Bhp is the most chippers can get out of e.g. the GTI by changing the parameters....if I read all there stuff...

Got mine Revo'd at xmas time and as you get a few more miles on and the car loosens up it just gets better and better

I am going to wait for Wolfgang to naturally loosen(!) up: 2000 miles should do it.
I will then re-map. Have to discuss this with my Insurance Company.

I have 2200 km on the counter and coming thursday my "Porbeagle"will get his ABT Tuning when filled up with 98 Ron...btw I have 3 mm spacing..

The guy who installed my map said that he was aiming for around 270bhp. He said though that a RR session might vary between 250-280 depending on how the RR is calibrated. From what I hear it is more likely that the RR is calibrated wrongly than your car is producing varying power levels.

I'm not too bothered about the RR results. Having taken the car down the 1/4 mile before and after the map has shown some considerable increase in performance. That and the fact that the car simply feels faster leads me to believe that the map was both fairly accurate and ultimately worthwhile.

that having been said I still want to get a readout just so I can see how much my car is producing. Even if it was stock I think I would still take it because some folk on here were getting up to 230bhp from a standard car - pretty impressive!
