Car Alarm
« on: 26 April 2010, 12:59 »
Car alarm went off this morning for no bloody reason.

Any idea why this would happen ? (No it wasnt being tampered with before anyone says)

I live on a main road and there are huge containership lorries coming via the docks at Grimsby and Hull that zip past creating a rush of air that on numerous occasions sets of the car alarm.

I have to say it is bloody irritating having to clamber out of bed, hunt down the key and aim it in the general direction of the car. Usually in the early hours

Ah ok, so it could have been something like that. Not sure if the binmen were around this morning so it might have been them. Strange its never happened before though.

I had this a few times and went to my dealer.
my dealer has set the alarm again, it appeared that the interioralarm was sharply tuned, for example by wind pressure could go on.

I hope this will help something

Be aware Kev sometimes a criminal activates your car alarm just until you get sick of it and de-activate the alarm....

I am not trying to be negative but just a quick warning how they go about sometimes overhere (in the netherlands) that is all....

While I type this it comes to mind......I do not even know how to de-activate my alarm...

I,ve had two false alarms in 9 months both at night and both when it was abit chilly its not done it for at least 3 months so i`m just going to leave it untill it gets serviced and ask them to turn the interior sensor sensitivity down abit(unless it starts to play up). :undecided:
Golfgti build quality is average at best.
