Anybody reading the Mk6 GTi forum posts will think we are a bunch of nutters (I am one and proud of it) and that we have bought expensive lemons!

Or by now the "other car" owners  really start to become jealous because the only thing we can come up with is all these minute flaws...... :smug:

Temporary fix (until you get the dealers to tone down the sensitivity of the alarm) against passing traffic setting the alarm off is to close the air vents before locking the car up  :nerd:

I,ve had two false alarms in 9 months both at night and both when it was abit chilly its not done it for at least 3 months so i`m just going to leave it untill it gets serviced and ask them to turn the interior sensor sensitivity down abit(unless it starts to play up). :undecided:

Make that three  .
If it alarms will it switch its self off or will it just carry on untill the battery goes flat ?,seems to alarm for 30 secs then stop for a couple of secs then alarm again, ive not had chance to leave it to see what happens because it has always been in the middle of the night.once i reset it with the keys all is fine
Golfgti build quality is average at best.

Get VW to reset it so that it is less sensitive. Must be so annoying.
Hope you are well.
