My Golf is a Supercharged 3.2 V6 RWD running approx 380bhp
It's pretty awesome when you kick the arse end out !
and then I woke up
You don't need RWD to kick the arse out under power...Haldex equipped cars will do it with enough torque - torque more so than power.
My S3 would do it easily...
But it's still not RWD....so you couldn't keep it there vert easily.
A Synchro Golf would do it too - but they are a bit fragile.
You are likely to break the transfer box or rear diff housing.
It's possible to make a Haldex Golf RWD by removing the front driveshafts. VW did it in a Mk5 for one of the Fast And furious films. It's in Evo mag this month.
But for a Mk3?
Maybe a Mk3 synchro floorpan, with an uprated synchro or Haldex back end on it, and the front driveshafts removed, would do it...I suspect you'd need to mess with the diffs though. But it could be done.
