Right, ran all wires in mk4 golf yesterday and want to keep standard HU.
RCA, and front component wires down one side, power lead and remote down other side. Good ground connected to rear seat belt bolt.
Rears just connected to HU.
Problem is, the converter i bought, converts left and right front speakers to RCA outputs, all straight forward stuff and also has a ground wire.
With ground from RCA adaptor plugged in 100% volume but alternator whine, probably from creating loop with amplifier one?
Without ground from RCA adaptor plugged in 50% volume and very minimal whine.
What should i do, im happy with everything without it plugged in, but have to turn all levels up to get desired volume, which sounds slightly stressed, and im sure this cant do amp any favours?
Or do i run a new ground directly from battery to headunit (as heard this can help), and also connect the RCA adaptor ground to this?
Any opinions?
