The rubbers are effected by the temp.
Its mostly 2 door cars with there much larger doors that suffer most as they have the most flex due to there length.

Thanks Snoopy , I will try that . so anoying I was drving in the country lanes around gatwick today!! My car is also picking up bloody stone chips already? The paintwork is crap ? Not Sure what to do about that one?

My creaking door seems to have stopped.
I very much believe it is temperature dependent.

Think there is something in that? I only noticed it today becuse it was 19 in London today!!

I have one on my ear bumper near the numberplate housing. Strange place. Also, the damaged plastic. As the damage is at the top of the plastic, maybe it is also a stone?
I will go to Halfords tomorrow and get a vinyl repair kit. I have used these before with some good results. It is going to be a long night.

Poor Wolgang has a damaged bottom!

BTW, how many stone chip damages have you got and where?

having let the tyres down a little the ride does seem better so thats good news.

I do think the sudden(ish) change in temperature has brought about these niggles.

Not noticed any change in the ride on mine. But then I have it in comfort all the time and Wolfgang just glides along.
Did you read that the Golf is No 7 out of 100 for ride comfort in the Autoexpress survey?
And that standing, I think, was with many Golfs that did without ACC. Not bad.

I don't think mine that good for comfort as its a jittery on small urban roads. Wish i had argued longer to get ACC now.

As for the paint issues i think we should get a thread together about the stone chips and paint issues to send a link to for Autoexpress as they are currently comenting about stone chips on there GTD and SEAT Leon FR. They have talked about the thread on seatcupra.net about stone chips so i think we as GTI/GTD/Golf owners should have a similar thread to point them too? views?

Morning Snoops.

Good idea regarding the paint issues that many people are having or will have soon!
I find it a complete nightmare to get Wolfgang cleaned. Never had such a problem before. However, it is swirl free still, thank the Dark Lord!

I am off to Hellfords to get some vinyl paint etc to get the scuff on the plastic on my rear bumper fixed. Hope I don't bugger it up!
