I had mine back to the dealers with a rattle in the boot and they replaced the bumpstops, did stop the rattle but didnt fit them properly and ended taking it to the bodyshop to get them fitted correctly.

I have got the car booked in for next friday at the dealers. No offer of courtesy car tho!  Not to worry, can walk it.  I hope this is just growing pains as I cant have a £26k car that rattles from one month in.

I have foam and wd40 at the ready should VW fail to resolve!

WD40 can be the answer to a maiden's prayers!

Yeah but leaves the fabric a bit stained!!!

Dont think the stain will be permanent as WD40 will dry off eventually.

6000 miles rattle free until last week sometime!! Drivers doors creaks a bit but it seems to be contraction when the sun shines on it. It soon stops once I've done a few miles.

Last couple of days, the passenger door has been creaking like mad. Driving me crazy. I've not had a chance to get someone else to drive it till I get it investigated!!

3 weeks after I got my GTI the doors started creaking like mad. It stopped completely when I put some silicone spray on the rubber seals on the doors.

Not had any rattles yet (touch wood) but coming home tonight I had a b!tch of a noise from the rear left passenger side of the car. I had the window down so It was coming from the outside. It sounded like I drove over a big pile of chewing gum  It ended up being a pretty big stone wedged in the tyre tred. Whew.

I have a couple of rattles i fixed two of them was actually stones behind the plastic guards under the car.

My boot squeek was the spring in the strap that holds the spare wheel tools getting pushed by the boot carpet, Bit of WD sorted that one.

I often get a knock from the passenger side rear i thought it was the seatbelt it was sort of but theres also another.

A creak from the rear passenger door.

All i can live with.

Snoopy I was out to day and also getting a creek noise like the door is suffering from some kinda stress, driving me mad it was today, any idea's what it is?

I still have my creak but with VW/SEAT/Audi products its normally the door rubbers.
So you use a silicon type spray or loob on them.
You can get the stuff from VW called a rubber care stick  part number 00V 096 310 A
But i just use Autoglym rubber care in the past.

My creaking door seems to have stopped.
I very much believe it is temperature dependent.

The rubbers are effected by the temp.
Its mostly 2 door cars with there much larger doors that suffer most as they have the most flex due to there length.
