200 BHP
« on: 12 April 2010, 16:34 »
What things would i need to do be able to break the 200BHP mark?

I got a VR6 OBD1..

I will be gettin a BMC CDA Induction Kit, Scorpion cat back exhaust, Jetex Decat, Dub Power Manifold and hopefuly a chip and remap. Any thing else i can add to try and acheive that without breaking the pockets? Cams will come into at some stage but for now i want to attack the basics.

Cheers Guys!

A genuine 200+ you are going to need either headwork, or cams. Or both.
You may well get close with bolt ons on an optimistic dyno...along with things like a 2.9 upper inlet manifold and modified TB...but to assure over 200, you'll need better cams.

Headwork, cams, modified TB, decent exhaust etc will see you over 220 BHP.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

Both would be the best bet then i imagine. For all the above and to do it properly what kind of money am i looking at to get this done?
