thought i would open it up and see if i would be able to put a better spring in or fit a shim and look...  :angry:

Might be nothing wrong with the valve itself - try a Forge spring inside it!  ;)

not sure if theyre the same size tbh.. really odd how this still held boost quite well..

if you want to know if its the same a a forge unit you need to measure the spring rate a certain compressions and find out what the coil bind depth is at.

iv seen valve springs that are twice as thin as oem ones that give greater seat pressure at all compressions compared to the oem springs, the same applies to anti roll bar, a 22mm eibach could be harder than a 24mm oem one for example. its all about how they are made and what they are made of ;)

at the moment i couldnt give a sh!t how its made and how it works, i just want it to work.. i have put the bosch one back in for now and its not holding vac or boost like the r-spec one did when it was broke.
i know that the forge ones are rated well, so if one of them fits dimensionaly and it holds boost then jobs a goodun.
