Just got a word from my dealer that the clip is on it's way from germany. My car is booked for next friday. :) Maybe you should have a word with your dealer and tell them to hurry up.

Got the clip installed today and gave it a nice test drive. Almost got booked for speeding as well. Luckily there was a slow tractor and some traffic on the opposite side just before I saw a policeman with a laser speed gun...  I also met a great mechanic that convinced the stupid service desk guy that this was a TSB from Volkswagen and that I didn't have to pay anything. He's also german and so from now he's the only one that gets to touch my car at the dealers. :P

The clip works great. No more chattering what so ever. Tbh I got used to the very mild chattering but after trying the car without that noise it's like a different car. I can hear the low end grunt a lot better and it just gave me a better feeling. I like this car even more and it feels solid. This chattering was the only thing that really bothered me.

Mine is a 2010 GTI and the 06J145220A clip fits just fine. My dealer fitted it without question.

According to the TPS there was a modification done at the factory mid/late 2010 to fix this rattle on future versions off the production line.
