Engine code issue

I've read the sticky on engine codes, However I can't find it in any of the places, but what I can find is where a sticker used to be..... im assuming maybe its come off?Any other way to tell what engine it is?

Would really appreciate help so i can get quote in map

has someone ground off the tag on the front/left of the head? fishy!

if your throttle body is cable operated then it's agu.. if not then it's a later one with bosch me7.5 management. aum/arz/auq remaps usually cost the same, agu is usually a bit cheaper.

Yes its driven by a cable.... because my friend was jealous, said his is "computer driven" and would rather have a cable.

Oh, i guess not, I dont know, I wasnt 100% sure what i was looking for, I looekd all over, but couldnt see anything, nor could my mate.

Question, the remap, how long does it take? Like do they need to just connect to the ECU? or take it out etc?

Depends where you go. Some places take the chip out still, others use obd flash tools. Occasionally the chip has to come out anyway if the flash writes are unsuccessful.

R tech can now do an AGU through the OBD port  

Takes mins as long as your car is in good order / no fault codes

Ok, so if they leave it in and flash it, how does that take?

depends where you take it. usual rtech process takes 90 minutes - 2 hours with the dyno runs and diagnostics.
