Vag tacho is for is for a tacho. You. Need the right lead. Don't try to use a vag com lead with it, it's not designed for it. An AGU probably uses VDO old clocks.

What are you trying to do with vag tacho?

Change my clocks to bora sport.  Immo2 to Immo 2 btw

Right how exactly do you get the SKC code for NEW clocks?

Working from this guide..
http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?1921113

I have got my SKC from old clocks, and all the codings.

Removed old clocks, put new ones in, changed first coding [19] (section 15 on guide) tryed to change second coding [11] (section 16 on guide)  clicked [Do it!] but seemed to change back to original, then needed SKC from new clocks when you try to login... (section 17 on guide)

So back in with Tacho, now says cant read ECU.. to get the SKC code from new clocks?

How am i supposed to get this then? Old code didnt work in vagcom as i tried it.

You should be getting skc from the new clocks before anything is changed. Try connecting with VDO new or old. Whichever one works. Then do your coding.

How do you get SKC from new clocks? Put them in car and run Tacho straight away before putting any of the soft codings in?

When i ran Tacho on new clocks connected to car, it said 'ECU not recognised'..?

That was on the 'all clusters' bit
..

You only select any tacho to find out what you have. Then you choose the cluster ( usually VDO new) and connect to selected tacho. Sometime you have to do it around 10 times before it connects properly.

This is what i did, any tacho first, wouldnt find anything, just kept searching the two variations 9600 and something else?

So put it on VDO new and kept telling me that couldnt read ECU, so i have to just percevere and let it keep going till it finds it?

Must of tried about 30 times tonight..

Is that the message you would get while it tries to connect properly?

Many on the list, about 15 to 20 i suppose on the ECU list itself, my problem is...

When you do the test to find out which you need, it scans between two sort of channels..

So went straight onto VDO new just to try and get it to work, then just got that ECU message...
