The boot rubber was second hand mate. Some one was breaking their so I took a chance that it would be ok. Its no where near what I want to be as it still has marks etc on it but its better than my original one so snapped it up!

Im pretty sure if you go to BBT's they can cut new ones any way?

Slow progress for the past few weeks. Im skint - no two ways about it haha. Work is getting busier so things are probably going to grind to a hault for now untill this month pases by. Still aiming for late august sept to have it back on the road though.

Im looking for a cheap TDI car to run about in. Any one know of one? Also looking to get rid of the benzzzz. Its up for sale at 500 firm right now.

Heres whats been done with the engine so far:

halfway through painting the engine.

Can anyone tell me if there is supposed to be this much play in the upper chain?

Chain looks fine, all that will of happend is when you took the belt of the zaust cam has rotated backwards or the inlet cam has rotated forwards. It will be very tense on the underside.
