Goodyear F1 asymmetric

They are cra*p that's all i have to say on the matter!! Shyte in the winter good in the summer but dont last long esp on Ed30??? Get the michilins or the Veradstine's!!

GYF1 are very overrated tyres on this forum!! Rubish IMO!!

No summer tyre is going to be great in the winter

Goodyear F1's or Vredstrein get my vote - I've got both on my car

I've done approx 7K on my Goodyears and got approx 4-5mm of tread left

7k miles i got from the GYf1's and they really struggled in the winter, snow useless?? Yes I agree in the summer they are okay and in the wet brilliant and sure planted. But i would'nt buy them again there are much better tyres out there than GYF1's. I found them useless on the Ed30.

Steve, calm down. In hindsight I can see how you have taken this badly, lies was just my way of saying I disagree. Had 2 sets of F1s now and both (all be it the second set havent even done 1k yet) have been brilliant (apart from in the snow). Great in the summer and have not come across any issues when using them in the winter (again, apart from in the snow, but what "normal" tyre is).

Given how few snow days there are in a year (5 days = 1%), it's amazing how often snow comes up in tyre discussions. Just goes to show how emotive tyres can be. I guess a main driver behind the existence of these forums is the passion of its participants!

Yes my passion comes through on the forum, I dont rate GYF1's, we had a very cold winter and Ed30 struggled in the icy conditons and we had plenty of that, errr about 3 months of it where i live (sub zero tempetuers) It got so bad that I had to change the front tyres becuse of the GY's. When I changed them the car was brilliant snow not a problem DSG not a problem!! GY's were the problem!! I would never buy them again got the T shirt and so on!!!!

Not at all horses for courses

I got my GY asymmetric's for £80 a corner - for my MK4 they are fine

With a powerful ED30 i could see why they are not as good as michys
