Yes my passion comes through on the forum, I dont rate GYF1's, we had a very cold winter and Ed30 struggled in the icy conditons and we had plenty of that, errr about 3 months of it where i live (sub zero tempetuers) It got so bad that I had to change the front tyres becuse of the GY's. When I changed them the car was brilliant snow not a problem DSG not a problem!! GY's were the problem!! I would never buy them again got the T shirt and so on!!!!

I just signed up at Costco, now waiting for a 20% discount promotion so I can get Michelin Pilot Sport 3s for £445 fitted.

Top deal that is for michys!! The best tyre IMHO and at least they last longer, by far!! They are a good all rounder tyre! Enjoy steve

which tyres have you got? The mystery is killing me?? Ha ha ha, no the gyf1 are very good in the summer!! They are not great all round tyre IMHO. There are better tyres out there, but cost more , but I wouldn't put my life at risk again through crap tyres in winter? This is what happened to me through those tyres, lost control of the ed30 was doing 25mph coming up to jct, and the car didn't stop very lucky no one hit me on ether side!! Little bit of snow on the ground that's what happens? Hope my reasons are good enough and lerning curve for some on the forum! Enjoy steve

Steve, that would happen with any tyre. Normal tyres and snow dont go, are you honestly saying that these "all round" tyres actually give you grip in the snow . . .?

what I'm saying Alan is my experence of that tyre mate!! Soon as I changed it the problem went away!  The gyf1s put me at risk! But it was snowing but only lightly. Once I changed to the Dunlops the snow problem was fine!! The problem was there just wasnt any grip with the GYF1's in those conditons?? Not being rude Alan, but you wernt driving becuse of your situation? The winter was very long & sub zero tempetures!!

When your dunlops get to about 50% wear. Trust me , you will want to launch them off Dock head steve.
