Mk2 1.8 Resurrection

Looking at getting this beast back on the road.
You think its worth it?
Bought for 400, grill included, done around 120k.

Rear End Damage, but have found a whole back end for around 350 online.

If you could help as well by linking to some places to get parts, that would be epic also.

Im looking to see if their is a scrappy round here, not sure if there is though locally.

The rear panel can be bought new cheap,think its beavers or something like that.
Seems a lot of money for a smashed up 8v.

I dont think its worth putting back on the road for the money it will owe you when you are finished getting it back to a presentable state

break it, tbh thats a lot of work plus have you checked for a creased floorpan?

also i want some mk2 bits and im not far down the road...

Dont want to burst your bubble but does seen like quite a lot for an accident damage mk2.

If you've got the skills and time though, then why not bring it back to life...looks like the rest of it is in pretty good shape.

As said just make sure the floorpan is fine first before you get going....

As Gloves said, if you got the skill fairy nuff, but if you have to pay someone to fix that it's gonna cost a fair bit bit than it would to just buy an 8v.

Another thing you could do is buy a stripped Golf or a 1l, 1.3 or 1.6 and change the engine over.

It IS alot of coin for that, all due respect. I have all the bits to repair that car in my lockup you could have for a third of that price!
