Well tbh I am only getting it for around 100, as I am buying it with another car for around 700.  (400 for each, 700 for the nicer one) I really wanna bring it back to life, would be a great project.

How could I check the floorpan is creased/

He also said maybe the chassis is damaged, How could I check that on the spot.

TBH  there is nothing spectial about that golf and it looks bent to me.  therefore it's worth exactly £125

by the time you have cut out the knacrd pannel, beaten the surrounding metal straight and got the new pannel in square, welded it up and painted it you chould hav bought a straight car to start with

Open the boot and look at the boot floor, but I can see it will be damaged, I'd be very surprised if it's not.
My Golf had similar damage last year but not as bad and it was literally a few mm off damaging the floor pan, that is a lot worse and deeper so expect it to be shafted.

If you're only paying £100 for the car, fair dues the engine and other mechanical bits and interior would see you more than £100 if you broke it for bits.

If you can find a cheaper Golf with knackered engine or smaller engine with a good shell you could swap all the GTI bits over, which would be cheaper than paying to have it repaired.

Based on images, how much would you say it would cost to fix, and how much the selling price would be (all refurbished, new wheels/tyres, grill, cleaned well etc)

Seeing if it is worth it, Trying to find a complete car w/o engine for quick fit but hard to find one without owners breaking the rest of the car.

How hard is it to change the steering column/key tumbler/ignition etc....

Cuz the car is perfect besides, I could use the parts from the white one.

EDIT - Oh I see. Well if I did that that means I have to change the door locks as well >.< Just realised that.

Deffo better cars for the money, and tbh I cant see the logic in buying a damaged Golf when replacing with OEM parts its guna cost the price of the car.

If you want a project, do something useful like an engine overhaul that'd give you a massive sense of achievement over getting a panel straight. Thats my opinion.
