car feels hesitant sometimes

hi
i have a 2001 aum engin 1.8 t golf. sometimes it feels abit hesitant at low revs and a lil bit spluttery when apply a lil bit of throttle. its ok wen put foot down
and ideas as to the cause other than leads/plugs?

Start off by giving the Throttle body a clean. Details of How To in the maintainence section.
Try this and see if it makes a difference. And go from there

cheers il give that a go. is there anythin to look out for sensor wise. i ready in a thread once a guy had splutter issues and turned out to ba a sensor

I had a similar issue, my lambda sensor had gone but I think you would have a few more symptoms, car is running very rich and a very strong smell, poor mileage etc.
If you have a garage near you take it for an emissions test?

i did 200 miles to 35 litres of fuel dunno if that about right?
i am gna get a full service done and clean throttle body too then take it from there

got the same problem mate mines spluttery in low gears my lambder sensor is gone replaceing both of them ull have one either end of your CAT also had mine plugged up and a code came up with loss of pressure between turbo and throtle ull have to check your pipe work around your turbo cracks etc!!
