steering/ brakes vibration

fingers crossed for ya mate. was it excessive play in the steering then .. ? just your first post said it was light steering thats all.

Yeah. There was a bit of a dead spot when the wheel was centred. Sorry....Forgot to mention.
 

They fixed the steering, but unfortunately the buggers crashed my car when they took it for a road test!    Can you believe it?!?!?  They crashed it into the back of a van!!!!

They've replaced the headlight on the near-side, but there's loads of scratches on the bumper, bonnet and wing.   :'(  They said that they will sort the paintwork, but only after I complained!

You had to complain first!! I find it unbelievable that they thought they could have got away with it!! I would complain to VW UK HQ

The scratches are only light (i.e. not down to the metal), but the paintwork used to be immaculate.

its unbelievable the muppets they let take the cars out. when i took mine back to them after they knackered the turbo the goon that took it out said it wasnt lacking any power ! after a few swear words and commenting on how it probably didnt feel slow compared to his moms nissan micra even without a turbo, i stormed off.

write a letter to VWHQ complaining about the inconvenience and ask for some sort of compensation on top of the repairs.

Good idea mate.   I think I'll do that once (if?) I get it sorted out to my satisfaction.

I know a few boys that used to work for renault in bracknell, they all used to go down the same road on test drives and see who could get down there the quickest and what MPH they could hit
