Right then, got home a little early tonight so managed to get a couple of things done, firstly the dust caps:

Then the tax disc holder:

Then I cracked on with changing the bulbs in the clocks so the next post is for the benefit of Blu!

Ok, so to begin with pop off the abs/airbag lights and headlight switch and remove both:

You'll reveal a screw, then pop off the plastic cover to the left of the steering wheel as shown below to reveal another screw.

Remove both screws and pull the black plastic surround out from around the clocks, it should then look like the picture below. If you look closely you'll see 2 screws, one on either side these have to be undone as well.

Once this is done you can tilt the clocks forwards and undo the plug on the back (towards the left hand side).

Once this is done you can just pull the clocks towards to you remove them (you may have to lower the steering wheel first)

Once the clocks are out they should look like this:

The black plastic cover just unclips to reveal:

Note the 2 blue twist fit leds in the middle of the clocks, these illuminate the lcd screens, also there are 2 more leds at the top of the unit, these shine down and illuminate the dials themselves.

Simply remove the old led's and replace, you can see in the pic below the red ones that I have replaced them with. If they don't work, then don't worry, remove them and replace them the other way around.

Put them all back together and you are left with:

I've also got a few pics of another style of clocks which i'll post up later!

good work and i know from experience that the picture doesnt really reflect how they really look, ie the over bright blue at the top.

Nice one Dom, I think I might change the displays to red instead of blue. My dials are blue as well so it'll be like yours when I'm done. And copying me with the same tax disc holder and dice? Pfft.
