A+ for taking the time to colour co-ordinate the knobs from your wardrobe

 It just so happens that my dad is a joiner (handy eh!) and he made the wardrobe/draws and had some knobs left over. So when I came to make the desk and needed some knobs for it, bingo!

Admittedly Dom, whatever excuse you try to use, it's still pretty gay.

Got a few little bits and pieces in the post today which will be fitted at the weekend. Nothing exciting, red dice dust caps, golfgti.co.uk tax disc holder and red leds to replace the blue ones behind the mfa display/odometer

Yeah no probs, i'll take some pics as I do it! I've done it so many times now that I could do it blindfolded!

Also I have 2 different types of clocks that I can do it with, 1 with hex screws and 1 that the back just clips off!

It's easy changing the bulbs mate. The 16v clocks however (VR6 will be the same I guess) have soldered bulbs rather than twist fit.

I need to sort out one of my blue bulbs when I get back, rev counter one is loose and works sometimes.

Yeah i've changed all mine already, just throwing in some different colours now to mix it up a bit. I've seen those soldered in ones (possibly in Kell's dubrides thread?!), they look like an absolute b!tch to sort out!

I'm gonna invest in another set of heater controls and windows switches etc so have a play with.
