Where are all the GTI's?!

I have seen one white 5 door GTi (fabulous) and one Black 5 door GTi in London.
I have also seen one Black 3 door GTD in London.
Seen loads of the more common ones. They don't look too hot.

A few round me and again see lots on the m25 and north circular. Seen two R's and one sirocco R so far. Rarest golf is the mk4 R32, see one every few months!

I think I've only seen about 3 in newcastle  -  seen an R on the road  -  I hope it all bodes well for used prices when we come to sell but I guess that within a few months, we'll see more around  -  when the Gti
Mark V first came out, were they as rare as the Mark VI is now?

Were? I have seen non except the Benfield demo cars.

Having seen a good 3 or 4 when i got mine last Sept, i have now not seen one (and neither has the missus) on my/our travels for about 3 months!  where have you all gone?!  At one stage Hertfordshire was the GTI capital of England and now it appears its just me on my lonesome!!

Interesting thing is that I have not seen another one on the road in my area since I took delivery last November.
Have seen a few GTD’s and GT’s, but another GTI, no.

How long this exclusivity lasts I don’t know.

When I went to England for 5 days earlier this month, I saw about half a dozen. Over here in France, I've seen one since I started looking last May! 99% of Golfs here are TDIs
