+1 been through the entire diesel range and none of them compare to the GTI.

I really have to back up Steve30 here.
No, I have never driven a GTI, I do have a GTD (though I`m not driving my OWN GTD at the mo  ),
And I have to say, it really is amazing !
Blasting down the A55 in Wales on Monday was fantastic, and the sound from the engine was totally different to the Passat diesel I got rid of.

Fair do's Gossa, but I have driven the car now alomost done 200 miles , on the MW it comes into its own mate!!

Steve, i've driven my GTI 12500 miles mate and can tell you on any roads it rules.  Are you referring to motorways with MW? If so that's exactly where the GTD will shine and it is a great great car for what it is. My mate getting one is a rep so it's perfect.

AND you are right, in some areas the GTD WILL be better than a GTI, for you it is and that's all that matters.

For you Steve it is the perfect car as you do lots of miles .
