what is strainer, is it oil sump plug? Now tomorrow is sunday so can't get these and must go to uni on monday, i'm stuck now must sort this tomorrow

to be on safer side, not driving car atm

I am left with only option to go to halfrauds to get engine oil

unfortunatly it means removing the sump as its the pick up for the oil pump. but please dont drive it untill you definatly know or instead of it costing you £40-£50 it could be £1000+

I had the same problem last month, STOP light on Oil etc etc.... i was concerned that i had bought a duf one  Looked all over for the problem, ended up running it into the  main dealers to get it sorted, it was a simple switch/connector that had come loose/off and was showing there was a problem.

As i said i looked all over and couldnt see any loose wires/plugs/connectors etc but i am no expert.

Cost me £48, but it put my mind at rest that i wasn't gunna sieze the engine whilst still driving it.
Thanks

I checked oil strip and it was dry  :lipsrsealed:

Didn't started my car since then, hoping no oil cream as I couldn't open oil cap. It was for some reason very tight  :embarassed:
