chug chug chug gt tdi in the morning
« on: 08 February 2010, 19:29 »
seems like a few of us are having problems at the mo with shuddering and chugging, maybe its the weather.  what do you think is up with mine??

when the engine is cold (first drive of the day cold.....could be 7am or 2pm stil the same......), sometimes i drive for a couple of minutes and it starts to shudder like its not firing on all cylinders and the ASR light comes on (triangle thingy with a circle - yellow one).  i have to turn the igition off and start it up again, sometimes it will be fine after that, other times it does it another 3 or 4 times but as soon as the engine gets up to tempreture, its fine!!!

Best advice I would give is see if someone local to you can scan it with Vagcom to check for faults on there as it will give you a good pointer.

I presume they mean the injector loom?

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.
