Plural? someone clearly thinks pretty highly of themselves...

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

Oh dear.

Well i've not done much to it recently owing to the crap weather and the cold.

I'm considering taking this off the road for a while to sort out the interior, as insurance and tax are due soon, and i dont drive it that often. I have a new heater matrix sat on the passenger seat teasing me at the mo  plus the heater controls need looking at, so i figured removing the whole dash would be easier than scrabbling under the lower half.

While I have the dash out I might get it flocked, Dan34's old golf looked great with it done. According to their website you can choose the colour of the flock too  Upper in black, lower in orange?

Anyway some pics i took just now after quickly cleaning it (white dots are from the flash, not the primer coming though!)

looks tidy mate.. that Focus ? to the left of it could do with a clean though !! I think personally it should just be flocked black ive seen multiple colours and it never looks right.. just my opinion tho..

Out of curiosity how often do you drive it and how many miles a month ??

focus is nothing to do with me, it just blocks my garage all the time

i drive it maybe 50 miles a week at most, depending on the weather. the OH's mk3 is our main car, so is VVV dirty

Take it off the road and give it some love mate haha.
Im in the same boat, and looks like i cant get down to the rolling road day as its now all sorn but needs must.

Flocked dash is the way to go. Mines lasted me just under a year though, it needs a re-flock due to ware marks which is a little anoying. The dash is coming back out any way to run the engine loom inside so its not too bad a job.

Have fun doing the matrix! What a royal pain in the japseye!!!....

shame yours hasnt lasted long, who flocked it for you? Dan34 used this place and it lasted v well: http://www.sbp.me.uk/

matrix will be OK, done one before but only removed lower dash (a right ballache) so my thoughts arethat removing all of the dash it will be simpler  plus like you i get to sort the wiring out cos the fusebox and alarm system want a tidy!

back to the whole 2nd car thing, the OH isnt using her mk3 at all at the mo so mine really isnt needed  :lipsrsealed:
