Taking off door handles
« on: 21 January 2010, 18:49 »
My door handles have wee bits of paint missing and I'm wanting to take them off, sand them down and repaint them. Either that or just replace the handles all together. Only issue is I've got remote central locking and the locks are still in the door handles. I would like to have de-locked handles but how would this work with the central locking? The key will never be used in the door even if the locks are there cause if I cant get the doors unlocked with the remote then the car isnt going anywhere due to the alarm.

So my question really is...is it possible just to take those handles out and replace them with de-locked ones? Or will this not work? Or do I need to do anything else to make it work?

It's a mk3 3dr btw

It really is as easy as that mate. I've delocked my passenger door already and when I get remote locking fitted the drivers lock will be going too!
