Out of curiosity in what direction was it going? Heading into Newcastle or Gateshead?
Zoomed on the tyne bridge that must be nearly as rare as seeing a Golf R

I will keep an eye out for it. Hopefully in March there will be a Blue GTI coming out of newcastle at about that time too  Feel free to wave like a nutter if you see me

That R maybe the demo(or whatever they want to call them, intro model etc) from Benfield Silverlink.

There are quite a few from the Newcastle area on here but most seem to be waiting for there GTI/GTDs to arrive.

well you obviously have never heard of the age old method of transport called walking my friend which is a much more sensible option then driving my gti 1.5 mile into work and then paying £10 a day parking in the city centre, when its probably just as quick to work considering traffiv  :nerd:

^ I had thought that the mk5 black 3 door 55 plate GTI i keep seeing at around 5ish coming under the flyover onto the bridge from the newcastle side may have been yours, i guess not.

nah mate- mines a spanking new mark 6- though it dont look it- so bloody dirty, never been washed lately- weather not helping
anyways i only wonder north of the river aka gosforth.

on topic- the bumper of the r is huge- very aggressive lookin and way better than the gti's which i feel are very subtle- bit too subtle when you compare the focus rs, vauxhall "whatsitsname"....
