Give that man a gold star, that sounds like a good idea. Any suggestions on a good durable weather proof paint?
Mrk V, GTI, 3dr, DSG, heated seats, winter pack, cruise control, rear parking sensors and now thanks to GizzyWizzy and SteveP in the MK6 section a RCD 510. Awesome!

I did have Hurdys insturctions on how to fit it, but deleted it, pretty straightforward though.
Take out hte 2 screws from in the inside handle, then give the plastic area a good hard pull, there are about 15 metal clips holding it onto the boot, so just keep pulling at each corner and move around.
Then take the 3 screws from the rear wiper off and you can move the wiper motor around and out of the way.
Take off the screws from around the handle mechanism, undo the adaptor. Put on the new one, and repeat.
Think thats about it.
