Any car can become a classic in time. Who'd have thought Allegro's would be sort after, but yet they are!

i think far fewer modern cars will survive long enough to become classic manufactures are getting very good at makeing cars last for there desing life.  it reported to be 5 yrs / 100,000 without magor mecanical mantance and then plug on for another 5yrs with help then fall to bits in a heap.

mk3 golfs will become much than mk2's quite quickly. as us mk2 owners like buy them to extract the good bits and as mk2's get rarer and worth more parts and restoration budgets will increase
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

This was said of Minis and Metros years ago with people saying that Metros would never be a classic and anyway all the mini owners would break the hot ones for mini bits. You try and get a good MG Metro or MG Metro Turbo these days. It's damn near impossible and Phase one's are fetching very good money indeed.

We had a black one.  Getting those last three LEDs on the boost indicator to light up caning up and down our drive was quite a challenge.

as much as many of you wont believe, i get asked about my 3 ALL the time...

Oh I can believe it - 'when will the scrap man be here to get that heap off our road?'

Why do you think I keep my Golf off the road between track days?  Nothing more annoying than coming back to a 'Police Aware' sticker on the windscreen - you must get it all the time.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

All jokin aside I have twice gone to the Golf to find it fliered by the "We pay cash for scrap cars" type people.
