You forgot to mention the extra weight of the "Revoknuckle"

So you are right. The RS carries 54kg less than the R

and with the kind of economy they offer... you would be better in an mk5 R32 anyway

miles better car the focus than any R32 and id rathe rhave it than the R, have you seen the graham good conversion that takes it to 400HP   

all they need to do now is a stripped out motorsport version then you will have a right monster


guess it comes down to personal taste, i think the Focus RS looks mean as hell, and i want one bad after seeing the green one yesterday, had a good look round it and it was so nice, the seats inside look fantastic

im sure the golf R will also be fantastic, and i hope i grow to love it, but at the mo it looks a bit boring, interior looks nice, i do think if the wheels were changed it will probably look a million times better

i just wish they had made it look more like the mk 4 R32 sort of look

The R and the RS are aimed at very different markets though.

Besides the R is over half a second quicker to 60 and will out handle it no problem. Even the Rocco R is rated better than the RS in the motoring press.

I thought they were still working on the GGR400 and only had the GGR370 currently available commercially?

The engine in the R will tune to 380bhp too and with that amount of power I'd put my money on the R utilising it much better than the RS any day.

Now a stripped down ED30 weighing under 1300kg with 380bhp.........
