hi, lowering my gti 40mm 35mm
« on: 10 January 2010, 20:35 »
Hi everyone im new to this site i have just bought myself a very tidy mk3 golf gti 8v in black after selling my mk3 ibiza cupra. it already has a nice set of 17s on it but i felt it was siting to high. Ive ordered a set of spring to lower the front 40mm and the rear 35mm.

Ive been searching for a good hour looking at different mk3s but i havent seen one lowered like this they have ether just been 40mm or slamed on coilovers.

im lowering the car next sat so i was wondering if it was possible if anyone could post a picture of there car lowered like this on 17 thannks in advance mike.

if youve looked at enough pictures you will have seen that a mk3 lowerd 35/40mm on 17's will still look like a 4x4 and also just buying springs will mean even worse handling on top of a already poor handling car.

Welcome btw

Wouldn't be fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

Welcome to the site.

17"s look big, a 40mm drop will hardly show.
